In nature we see everything move toward its greater purpose – seeds split to reach through the ground; trees curve around obstacles to reach the light.
We are no different than any other living thing; moving toward our greater self, working to understand and express ourselves and our truest nature.
The problem is we get distracted by the difficulties of life. Our feelings, thoughts, and beliefs about ourselves and our world prevent us from pursuing our greater truths. Sometimes this is caused by past hurt or mistrust, a traumatic event, or life suddenly feeling unmanageable.
These old ways of being are no longer working and your life is too important to drown in these beliefs. It is time to make a change. I look forward to being a part of your journey.

To inspire every patient to move toward a greater self and to work toward understanding what is at the core of our truest nature.

To establish Steep Street Counseling as the premier individual, couple or family therapy establishment in the Vancouver, Washington area. We do this by maintaining our professional and uncompromising principles with every patient.

A collaborative process between therapist and client, during which we work to resolve concerns that are interfering with you living the life you desire. Utilizing introspection and skill building, we work to remove obstacles and create a more authentic and clear understanding of who you are in your relationship with yourself, with others, and in the world.

Using the Gottman style for couple’s therapy, we work together to increase communication, manage conflict, create closeness, and re-establish commitment between couples. I honor the different ways that people are coupled, including monogamous and polyamorous couples, queer and straight couples, newly established relationships and those that were created years ago.

Family therapy is used to address concerns among family members regarding the well-being and mental health of the family unit. It may include the entire family or just a few family members who feel they need to work on dynamics that are interfering with the family's happiness. Family therapy may also be utilized in addition to individual therapy when decided it would help achieve the overall goals of the individual.

It is a privilege in my work to be able to work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. Through my studies and relationships, I have developed a deep understanding of Deaf culture and issues related to mental health that are specific to the Deaf community. I am honored to be able to support the community in understanding and improving their mental health and well-being.
